Coaching, strategy development, and reporting
Brugger + Partner supports Migros Bank in its sustainability management efforts. A survey of relevant management systems, processes, and measures laid the groundwork for the financial institution's first comprehensive sustainability report. The report concept was developed to align Migros Bank's sustainability strategy, materiality assessment, non-financial reporting requirements, Swiss Supply Chain Act (DDTrO), and GRI standards. This enabled the bank to produce a concise report focusing on the target groups. During the preparation of the publication, we assisted with applying the GRI standards, meeting the requirements of Articles 964a et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations, and addressing specific content questions. Together with Brugger + Partner, Migros Bank also conducted a risk analysis of its procurement processes in line with the DDTrO and received targeted support for research and appraisals, such as on biodiversity-related topics.
Substitution in sustainability management
During a three-month absence of Migros Bank's sustainability manager, Brugger + Partner provided a replacement for the position. Our employee took over all tasks related to sustainability reporting: She coordinated the preparation of the report with internal departments, the communications agency, and external consultants. She also ensured that the report was approved by the Executive Board and prepared it for approval by the Board of Directors. Finally, the substitute also acted as a contact person for various internal and external inquiries regarding sustainability at Migros Bank.
