Successful piloting of the myAbility Talent® program in Switzerland

Participating students, companies and project partners celebrated the completion of the myAbility Talent® program last Thursday in an online event. The program has proven that even during the Covid19 pandemic a successful career start is possible and creative solutions, such as for the presentation of certificates, can be found. The career program supports students with disabilities or chronic illnesses and is designed to help overcome barriers which are mostly in our heads. The 15 myAbility talents have completed an intensive program including individual and group coaching as well as several job shadowings at the six partner companies. Both sides appreciated the extensive mutual "try-out", which is not equally possible in a classic job interview. "The myAbility Talent® program enabled me to get in touch with open companies and thus expand my network for a successful career start", says Gian Andrea Kolleger, participant of the program. The end of the first round also means the beginning of the second one, in which BHP will again act as co-project manager and in particular maintain and expand local contacts with companies and universities.
