2014 was another successful year for solidarit’eau suisse. 74 municipalities and water suppliers (including 2 public-public partnerships) – more than ever before – made donations using the solidarit’eau platform. 28 water projects were successfully sponsored in this way. 11 of these projects have already been completed or partial funding has already been secured. 17 other ongoing projects receive funding from solidarit’eau suisse. The implementing NGOs estimate that approximately 385,000 people in developing countries will receive clean drinking water and sanitary installations in the near future. We are very proud that, since the beginning of this initiative by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, more than 130 municipalities and water suppliers have already enthusiastically joined solidarit’eau and supported numerous projects.
